Why I Built This

Finding the right gym shouldn't take weeks of guessing

When I started rock climbing, I tried 5 different gyms in San Diego before I found the one that was right for me. Not because the others were bad gyms; they just weren't the right fit for what I was looking for.

The frustrating part was the lack of centralized, useful information online. I couldn't compare gyms on the things that actually mattered to me as a climber. Route variety, wall types, community feel, training areas, pricing. None of that was easy to find or compare in one place.

I spent a lot of time and money visiting gyms before finding the one I loved. I wanted to make that process easier for every climber.

So I built Flash Climb: a directory designed to surface the nuanced details about climbing gyms that you can't find anywhere else. The kind of information that helps you narrow down your options before you ever walk through the door.
