Grand Opening

Hello everyone! My name is Jakob, I am the creator of Flash Climb and I’m super excited to announce we are live!

I switched local gyms 3 summers in a row, when I first started climbing. As I grew into my climbing style, I wanted different experiences and a gym that catered to my wants at the time. It took several expensive day passes, initiation fees, and years before I found a gym I personally liked and could call home. Years later I was traveling and working remotely, and still I found it difficult to know what a gym offered until I showed up. This is what sparked the idea of Flash Climb.

The mission of Flash Climb is to help you find the best gym for you, on your first send. We will accomplish this through showcasing every gym in the world, advanced search features, and extensive gym details. We are starting off with a small set of gyms and a simple website, but we aim to display hundreds of more gyms in a month and launch new features to help you learn about gyms in your hometown, and across the globe. Later, we hope to tie communities together online, and help local gyms get their good word out.

Now, where is Flash Climb at right now? Thanks for asking. You can search by your city and check out a handful of gyms (more gyms coming soon). On these gym pages, you can look for features and find answers to your questions like; do they have lead climbing sections of the gym? Do they have an auto belay? Do they have enough parking? Our goal is to provide any relevant information you need when you’re checking out a gym.

That being said, the climbing community is one of the most open and unique communities I have been a part of and I want Flash Climb to reflect those values. If you ever have time on your hands, please submit a gym you want featured on the website or submit a contact form to request any additional features or for other general inquiries.
